Това което може да се каже със сигурност е, че керъктър дизайнът е по-близко до мангата. Може би трябваше да сменят сеюто. Не че жената все още не е адски кадърна, ала не знам как ще подейства на новата неносталгичната публика.
Друго - представят всичките inner planet мацки. Значи евентуално няма да я има заигравката със Sailor V (Коя ли е тя? Тя ли е легендарната принцеса на лунното кралство?

Robotech, подобно на Voltron е франкенщайнизиран вариант на три съвсем различни аниме сериала (Macross, Southern Cross и Mospeada).
После има някакво евтино dtv Sentinels (всъщност пилотна серия), което е базирано на Robotech и вече е с оригинален сценарий (от наааай-оригиналните).
После имаме филма Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles - пак оригинална история. Той не намира разпространител и също излиза dtv.
Нелошо анимиран е (от японци и корейци) и играта на voice actor-ите е добра, но сюжетът е пълна бъркотия и клише до клишето.
Аз го харесвам горе-долу, но не го препоръчвам само на хора в 80-тарско носталгично настроение .
Сега Harmony Gold се опитват да направят нов оригинален сериал, като финансират пилота през Kickstarter.
Скритата шегичка е друга.
Harmony Gold държат лиценза на целият Macross френчайз за Щатите. Те са основният виновник по-новите заглавия (примерно интерес представляват Macross Zero, Macross Frontier и най-новият дето е в продукция в момента) да не стигат до американската публика.
Този лиценз обаче щял да отпадне, ако на всеки не-знам-си-колко години не издавали ново Robotech заглавие.
С тази акция показват колко са отчаяни и как не могат сами да съберат достатъчно production money.
Не че Macross заслужава чак толкова внимание (аз съм фен...ама това нищо не значи), но Harmony Gold експлоатират лиценза му по абсолютно гаднярски и абсолютно неизгоден за тях начин.
