Yes, shitchokers, the deluded madman responsible for the badly written (and unintentionally hilarious) Sword of Truth series, Terry Goodkind, has a fanboy who trawls the net looking for sites dissing the legend that is the orange bearded one...

Terry Goodkind, author of such laughable works as Wizard’s First Rule and everything else by him, has an internet fanboy called mystar.

Apparently I’m not the first to have become suspicious about who’s really reviewing Mr. Stanek. Mixed in with the voluminous gushy positive reviews on Amazon is a distinct and consistent minority that express similar feelings of having been tricked, duped, etc. Then I found a little tidbit from a fanzine:

Amazon Mystery. Authors of fantasies on sale at Amazon.com have noticed a rash of oddly similar customer reviews that rubbish their work and instead recommend, say, George R.R.Martin, Robert Jordan, and Robert Stanek. The number of Big Name commendations varies, but not the plug for self-published author Robert Stanek. Who could possibly be posting these reviews (many since removed by Amazon) under a variety of names? It is a mystery, but Ansible is reminded of how Lionel Fanthorpe’s pseudonymous sf would often mention those great classic masters of the genre, Verne, Wells and Fanthorpe.

Preaching all over the internet? Hmmm, let’s see. I posted a couple of comments here, on my very own personal paid-for web site, and I think I added one among a hundred reviews at Amazon. Is that the whole internet? As for grudges, I’m merely annoyed that I wasted my time reading such trash because of hard-to-credit hype.

At least I stand behind my words. Who are you, “Jake”? Why were you googling for criticism of Stanek, from an IP address in his own home area? What “anti-Stanek conspiracy” did you assume I was part of, and why does it sound like you take it so personally? How many of the consistently worded and punctuated glowing reviews on Amazon did you write yourself, “Jake”?

As it stands now, I haven’t seen one negative comment about Stanek’s books which doesn’t include the question if the positive ones are fake. Why is that other books that have both good and bad reviews don’t display such an accusation in the bad ones?

One more thing, I found the same Stanek review by a “Mastage” on 3 different sites?
