Християнското геймене...

Post by AlDim » Sat Aug 25, 2007 9:53 pm

Fallout 2:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... lout2.html
"The only commendable material present in the game is the fact that you have a choice to participate in the debauchery and filth that takes place in this fictional world. If you don't want to partake in making a pornographic film, you don't have to. If you don't want to use drugs (which are addictive, and if your character becomes addicted to drugs and can't find them, your stats drop) then you don't have to. A Mature christian teenager or adult could find a good game in here, if you can disregard the heavy sin apparent in the town of New Reno (it's only this city that this material is in). New Reno seems to be some kind of post apocalyptic Sodom or Gamorrah."

Quake 3:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... uake3.html
"Considering the out-and-out sinful nature of the game, features such as gameplay, graphics, etc. are irrelevant. This is not a game for kids, nor is it one for adults. The first epistle of John says that whoever believes in Christ must walk as He did. I am certain the Lord would not touch this game with a forty-foot pole."

Silent Hill 4:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... eroom.html
"There is Excessive violence against women. Women wear revealing clothing. One woman makes suggestive comments to Henry and attempts to touch him inapropriatly."

Grand Theft Auto 3:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... auto3.html
"Freedom may be of the games better aspects but sadly it doesn't go far enough. There's always more than one way to beat a mission but they all involve copious amounts of violence. Had "GTA3" allowed the player solve missions more peacefully it could've been far more rewarding."

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... a-tst.html
"This is where Prince of Persia's largest downfall lies. As I have mentioned before, about one quarter through the adventure, the Prince meets a young princess named Farah, who helps him in his quest. He also *surprise* falls in love with her. The young lovebirds, however, take the wrong approach to their newfound passion: towards the end of the game, Prince and Farah end up swimming together naked in a pool, and what happens after that is implied, not shown. Nothing terribly explicit is seen, but this part of the game is still entirely inappropriate and disappointing. One easy answer to this problem is to simply turn off the TV during this cutscene, as the gamer will be able to keep playing right after it is over and not miss have missed a single thing. Also, during gameplay, Farah bares quite a bit of cleavage and wears an uncommonly short skirt. Some female Sand Creatures wear revealing clothes."

Final Fantasy VII:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... syvii.html
"Beneath the charm of this game, there is much material that I found offensive as a Christian. The concepts of death, good, evil, and many others are contrary to reality. Not only are these ideas present, but are an integral part of the plot. Magic is used for battle, including "Summon" spells, which, as the name suggests, summons different entities to help during battle. Instead of actually dying, characters in this world diffuse into the planet - into the "Lifestream", where their consciousness lives on. Also, there are many mystic themes which consume the game"

Max Payne:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... payne.html
"Max Payne has some sick parts. I found myself actually scared during some scenes of the game. During one level, you can here people praying to Satan, find Satanic books littering the floor, and Max even gets to take a journey to Hell several times during the game only to find his family screaming at him for help."
"Last but certainly not least, there is the sexual immorality. Pornographic signs and magazines are everywhere, while one of the games main levels is actually a brothel. While that seems bad enough, the cutscenes are filled with suggestive dialogue and crude remarks about orgasms, adult movies, and masturbation."

Return to Castle Wolfenstein:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... stein.html
"I'm in two minds about this game. On the one hand it is a great piece of entertainment. Well programmed and refreshingly bug free. On the other it is morally reprehensible. As a Christian I can not recommend this to anyone persons under 18 or easily offended. Why must software developers put so much time and effort into a game only to tarnish it with a grotesque and offensive skin."

Devil May Cry 3:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... -cry3.html
"This game has some pretty heavy occultic symbolism. There are evil demons, and of course just the name of the game is kina sketchy. However, most of the symbolism is used by the evil people. Christians might find this game offensive because Dante is half demon, and is a good guy;we all know demons are evil. Dante uses magic to attack his enemies and has an evil looking sword his father used."

Final Fantasy X:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... asy10.html
"The problems some Christians may have with this game are as follows:
1. Minor cursing. There is some minor cursing throughout the game, but this may be minor compared with the more bothersome concept in
2. "The Church of Yevon". This church is an homage to the Roman Catholic Church and it's powerful rule over the common people during the Midieval era. **Spoilers** As a matter of fact, you must eventually go against the church. The truth surfaces that the church is actually based on greed, lies, and hypocrisy. At one point, you must actually kill a high ranking religious official.
3. The character Yuna has the power to mystically summon beasts (one of which resembles a devil). From where do they originate? They come from souls trapped in small chambers (called Fayth) for all eternity. They are forced to give their powers to any summoner that enters the Chamber of the Fayth.
4. Anyone who sits through this game will also notice that one of the women in the story (Lulu) is quite "well endowed". Numerous cleavage shots are present. Later in the game there is a boss that wears nothing but a thong and a bra. "

Tomb Raider:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... aider.html
"Lara Croft was artistically programmed from a live model who wore a skintight rubber outfit. The lifelike cartoon character is extremely well built and scantily clad as she jumps around in a variety of positions that reveals her well-endowed body. When falling down or being hurt, Lara makes a plethora of sexy moans that someone listening in the next room could easily assume that sexual intercourse was taking place.
...
"Tomb Raider" is designed to infatuate adolescent boys with a sexy girl they can control and to be titillated by her voluptuous body and sensual moans and groans. When I scanned the Internet for references to "nude raider," I found literally thousands of postings by young boys wanting copies of the code and pictures of Lara in full frontal and rear nudity. While the game itself is not overtly violent or perverted, these "extra" features make it highly suspect.

This game receives a 62% (D-) due to its underhanded sensual overtones and nudity"

Doom III:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... doom3.html
"There hasn't been a game that I would more than happily throw away after I just purchased it for fifty-five dollars than this one. The graphics are superb and sound is just down right awesome, but nothing will make up for the complete satanic feel and exposure this game will bring. As a twenty-one year old I have to say I was freaked out, disturbed, and horrified by Doom III's content. I can't imagine what a thirteen year old would feel like. After hours of exposure to this game, I could see a child's attitude and personality change because of this game. I would have displayed more images but due to the graphic and satanic nature of this game I just couldn't show it. Stay far away from Doom III it has no value to it at all. I would highly recommend that anyone who professes themselves to be Christians, to NOT PLAY THIS GAME."
(poor soul... he paid fifty-five dollars and suffered through this just so he could warn others)

Ninja Gaiden:
http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/g ... aiden.html
"The other thing is, is that there is a female character Racheal who is very well endowed and doesn't wear much. Thankfully she doesn't appear that much in the game and you can skip past the cinematics that feature her. Once again if you can't handle your thoughts about scantily clad women then stay away."

Need for Speed: High Stakes:
"There are no major ethical problems with "Need For Speed: High Stakes". But some people might not like the techno-pop music, which can thankfully be turned off. Also, the fact that you can crash so hard makes some people nervous. Although the driver doesn't get hurt, this still seems a little violent. And running away from and even ramming police cars doesn't exactly seem like a moral act. Thankfully there are no guns or drugs."

Unreal Tournament:
""UT" may be OK for the mature gamer who can remember Proverbs 10:6 "Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.""

World of Warcraft:
"I know what you people are thinking, about the demonic "magic". There is a whole lot of magic in this game: from auras to ranged damaging ice novas, resurrection spells, etc. It is a part of what this game is. In addition, you see many characters and NPCs (Non-player characters) which seem to have evolved half way between two species. There are also ghosts that linger in some quests, and when you die, you become a ghost and your object is to run back to your body to be revived. This all is fine for the solid Christian; I personally have no problem with it. However, for the younger ones, maybe a few points should be explained here and there, to what is true to life and God."

And remember, kids!
"The Christian Gamer is a believer in Jesus Christ as the way to eternal salvation (John 3:16). As a Christian, responsible to God for my actions and thoughts, I promise to choose my games carefully. My goal is to be a good witness in my purchasing decisions, in my game play with others, and in the use of my time."

Тия цитати са само върхът на айсберга, тъй да се каже, така че запретвайте ръкави и ровете! Дал съм само примери от самите ревюта, но в коментарите има още по-брилянтни неща. Примерно (отностно статията за Deus Ex):

"This game should NOT be encouraged by Christians. In one part of the game the hero finds a "tract". Instead of informing someone how they can get saved it mocks the entire idea. On a billboard in the game is a mock picture of Jesus smoking a cigarette with the caption Savior Smokes. "Holy smokes""
"I can't help but disagree with the reviewers on the issue of sexuality. Most of the females in this game dress skimpily and many are hookers. In Hong Kong there are escorts available for the player, and we are able to overhear one lady come on to another while dancing. In Paris, we are introduced to the typical "dancing just for the money" dancer. I'm sorry, but I've lived in some real slums, AND PIMPS AND HOOKERS just don't go walking down the street! THAT IS NOT REALISM, IT'S MARKETING! Next time you're playing and the troops storm the 'Ton in search of Paul, try going up to one of the doors next to Paul's once you're safe ... you can hear a couple having very realistic sounding sex. There's nothing Christian about that."
"From a Christian standpoint, this game, while thoroughly engrossing and a marvelous FPS, it has many worldly influences. For example, in the ending, you have the choice of 'bonding' with a machine and creating a 'god like man/machine' and for another thing, the very name means, 'God out of a Machine' (deus ex machina) for crying out loud! While JC denton is obviously that, the ending may exemplify the title when he bonds with Helios (Right?) and creates a god/machine. If you ask me, the themes are just a tad bit too anti-christ(ic) for me. sorry."
"Though I agree that the gameplay of the game was at times quite enjoyable, I can't agree with giving the game a 3 in Christian values. Part of what has made the gameplay of Deus Ex famous is that there is much more 'freedom' and non-linearity in the game. For example, the player can go almost anywhere he or she wants, talk to anyone he meets, and even kill people he just met! There are no moral guidelines, and the game leaves it up to the player to decide what to do, without even suggesting the morally correct option! This is clearly what the press likes to call "moral relativism" and it is just another way to edge the Good Book out of peoples everyday lives. Young people need guidelines to steer them away from potentially un-Christian situations, but games like Dues Ex seem to encourage this! In all, I found this game to be an unsuitable purchase for anyone with a Christian mindset."
"This game is fun & has originality but I had to get rid of it when I got to tokyo (a level in the game) & had to go to a bar there where there were women dancing for sailors & two lesbians dancing together. I believe that with the cursing & adult themes make this otherwise fun game another "stay away" for Christians."

Струва си да погледнете и филмовите им ревюта. Че къде другаде ще можете да прочетете за дълбокия символизъм на спиралната близалка в Kung Fu Hustle?

Мерси, аз си чета Цитаделата. Ревютата там са значително по-умерени и смислени.

Ами и моя принос от форумите на Биошок:)

От тази тема:

http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7506
I have recently acquired my bioshock game and have played for quite some time. I love it. Recently, I came to this website, to see if there was a forum I could sign up for. I found this. I was saddened by the fact that the website as a whole was called the "Cult of Rapture". My query is this, "Can you change the name?". Chances are this will not even draw your attention, let alone actually change anything, but I thought I would try. It would be a nice thing for you to do, and I do not see how it would harm your site. I ask that no one flame me, but instead answer my questions in kindness. If this is the wrong board to post this in, please tell me the correct one to post it in. Thank you for reading this, and please take it into consideration.
Принципно цялата е готина :)

Но за да не е топ идиота на форума някакъв друг отваря следната тема

http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7921
This game is scandalous! The inclusion of the "little sister" as an enemy is awful.
Horrible! Although you have the option to rescue the children, you also have the option to \"harvest\" the children, which results in them dying. Whether the game's violent natured storyline considers them human, or a non-human ghoul or something, they still look to much like a little girl to make this okay. I hate violent games, but even if I was a violent game fan I would still give this one star. Games need to teach the message that children should be safe and that's that. This is a scandalous, disgusting, foul game! It should be banned and taken off the market!

И стигаме до the mother of all themes

Rapture is just a silly, thought of city, however, the language, horrible innuendo, and numerous other moral issues has nothing to do with fiction or not fiction.

If someone curses, it doesn't matter if they do it over the phone, under their breath, etc. it's still cursing, and I assure you, they will have to give account for it one day.

Same thing with the developers of this game, they will have to give an account to the Lord on that day of their doings.

The burden of proof doesn't lie on me to prove that God is. Your own conscience tells you there is a God, through creation, through your own attitude toward sin, etc. There was some point in your life you rejected that truth, and when you reject the truth, you accept darkness, and this is portrayed in someone's life. It's all a heart matter.

To go to hell all you have to do is nothing. It's quite simple, turn to Christ, and be saved, or reject Christ and go to hell.

I'd love to see every person in here in heaven one day, but that's your choice. Thanks be to God that He is so patient with us, poor sinners as we are.
Quote:Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

2 Peter 3:3-7
