The coffee had been steadily growing more and more execrable for the space of three weeks, till at last it had ceased to be coffee altogether and had assumed the nature of mere discolored water — so this person said. He said it was so weak that it was transparent an inch in depth around the edge of the cup. As he approached the table one morning he saw the transparent edge — by means of his extraordinary vision long before he got to his seat. He went back and complained in a high-handed way to Capt. Duncan. He said the coffee was disgraceful. The Captain showed his. It seemed tolerably good. The incipient mutineer was more outraged than ever, then, at what he denounced as the partiality shown the captain’s table over the other tables in the ship. He flourished back and got his cup and set it down triumphantly, and said:
“Just try that mixture once, Captain Duncan.”
He smelt it — tasted it — smiled benignantly — then said:
“It is inferior — for coffee — but it is pretty fair tea.”

Е, това хлапе дето играе сина на кмета не е никакъв актьор, а пък от сюжетна гледна точка, как точно журналистката покани в къщата си напълно непознат е неадекватно (или пък това е начин да го "преслуша") ама заглавието бива и хваща вниманието.

Гледах първия епизод на един идиотизъм наречен Siberia - някакви хора ги лъжат, че участват в survivor-ско реалити шоу в Сибир, май някъде близо до река Тунгуска, а всъщност участват, като морски свинчета в някакъв експеримент (Стръв за извънземните, що ли?).
Форматът е подобен на реалити шоу - събитията, предимно как героите вършат невъзможни простотии и успоредно коментар от тях, защо са се държали така тъпо

Загадъчните събития почват някъде след средата на серията.
Наблюдението ми е, че production values-сите са изключително ниски.
Освен това, поради известен мой интерес към мистерията около Тунгуското събитие от 1908-ма ми се набиват в очи някои несъответствия.
Освен че костюмите на участниците изглеждат мизерно, с тези дрехи комарите и другите папатаци в района да са ги изяли живи (оплакване на всички ходили на експедиции там). Дори и местните жители, евенките опушват себе се и добитъка си (елени) с разни треви, за да се предпазят от тази напаст.
Реквизитът също е особено неадекватен за района (брадвите, дамаджаните и пр. имат подозрително не-руски дизайн).
Има и други странности. Примерно ядоха гъби, които на мен ми приличаха на нашенски мухоморки и уж местните жители също ги ядели (е, може да е част от масовото подвеждане на което са подложени участниците). Аз доколкото знам евенките въобще не ядат гъби ги оставят за храна на домашните им елените.
Освен това дървени къщи от преди 100 години? Местните са живеели само в палатки, а къщи са имали имат само факториите и руските селища.
Актьорите са подбрани (може би измежду аматьори), за да изглеждат, като типични участници в реалити шоу...което предполагам е плюс.
Абе, голям тъпизъм и мизерия е, но може би точно заради това ме забавлява. Ще изгледам още серия-две.

Това поне дава шансове за малко по-скъпа продукция, щото като гледам как Syfy за шарени косплей карнавални боклуци, като Defiance, едва ли остават много средства за другите им неща.
