Ужас, надявам се на грима и осветлението, знам че правят чудеса.

Наскоро не съм споменавала - споменаването на Мартин ми образува нерви

Единственото добро, което мога да кажа за сериала, е че ако се гледа след третия сезон може прелюбимият Дж.Р.Р да реши да напише книга, че да може да правят четвърти сезон по нея, но след толкова време дали ще искам да я прочета е друг въпрос.

Finished a Jon Snow chapter, and have just passed the 1100 page (manuscript pages, the page count in the final printed book will be different) mark on A DANCE WITH DRAGONS. That's counting only finished chapters in something close to final form. I have considerably more in partials, fragments, and roughs.

Even with just the finished portions, DANCE is now longer than A FEAST FOR CROWS and A GAME OF THRONES, and I'm closing in on A CLASH OF KINGS. I do hope I can wrap things up before I approach the 1521 page length of A STORM OF SWORDS.

Making a new run at the Meereenese knot, but maybe not tomorrow. I think I'll hang around at the Wall a bit longer, and maybe visit Winterfell.

Almost there...

See You In Fargo

I am off tomorrow to Fargo, North Dakota for Valleycon. I hope to see some of you there. I gather there may be some BWBers on hand, Jim Ludwig of Dark Sword Miniatures will be turning up with some of his fabulous Ice & Fire range, and I'll be reading a chapter from A DANCE WITH DRAGONS. Plus there will be the usual drinking and carousing and fine dining, one hopes.

I will, alas, miss this weekend's football games, so don't expect any NFL posts on Sunday night or Monday morning. And please don't post yourself about the games. My faithful friend TiVo will be recording the games for me, and I want to watch them unspoiled when I return on Monday night.

After Fargo, I have two days at home, and then I'm off again on a much longer trip, to visit the set of the HBO pilot shoot, and do those signings in Belfast and Dublin. Oh, and it looks like a third event is in the works, for London. I will let you know the details when they are set.

After England, Morocco. That should be fun. Never been there, and though I am pretty well travelled for a kid from Bayonne, Marrakech sounds considerably more exotic than any place that I have ever been before.

Things will probably get pretty quiet here while I'm away. I don't travel with a laptop, so I expect I won't be posting much... though I may pop in once in a while from a hotel business center, when I stumble on one.

And yes, TiVo will be getting all those games for me as well. I expect to be immersing myself in a month of Jets and Giants games along about Thanksgiving.

Отчайващо е просто. Този човек за мен вече няма абсолютно НИКАКЪВ ангажимент към феновете си. Издаването на петата книга (а и на четвъртата преди това, така де на първата част от четвъртата) се проточи прекалено много, аз лично така и не съм пипнал Пир за Врани и ще чакам да излязат всичките. Супер разочарован съм от автора....

Аз претръпнах вече...

Иначе сега отворих малко да препрочета от втората и четвъртата, нищо не са загубили от времето

даже може да се каже, че по-хубави са станали, щото явно съм почнал да чета по-внимателно и забелязвам доста неща, дето преди съм ги пропуснал, като например колко невероятно добър стилист е Мартин всъщност (за напълно субективна дефиниция на "добър", да не ми скочи някой).

Със сигурност книгата не е излязла, а от сайта не са си актуализирали датата на излизане (която все още е неизвестна).
